Distant Fields in Seoul, South Korea

Performance of Distant Fields by pianist Sunhye Shim as part of her lecture-recital “Arirang through Blue Eyes.” Distant Fields was composed at the request of the Sejong Cultural Society in Chicago, IL, through an initiative to encourage new compositions featuring traditional Korean melodies. The work incorporates two traditional melodies: Parang-Sae and Chung-Sung-Gok.

The concert will take place on Friday, November 21st at 7:30 at Yeongsan Yangjae Hall. See event page here.
